Minister for European Affairs, Cohesion Policies and the National Reform Programme Raffaele Fitto travelled to Brussels today, Thursday 19 January, for a series of meetings at the European Commission.
Minister Fitto met with European Commissioner for Regional Policy Elisa Ferreira for an exchange of views on cohesion policy and opportunities to make the best and quickest use of available funds.
The Minister then had a meeting with European Commissioner for the Internal Market Thierry Breton on the topics of strategic autonomy and competitiveness of Italian and European industry.
Finally, Minister Fitto met with Commission Vice-President and Commissioner for Competitiveness Margrethe Vestager to address the issues of internal market integrity and a level playing field within the Union.
