–\u00a0Organic action plan – many delegations recognize the need to stimulate the demand for organic products also by encouraging public institutions to supply organic products in canteens. The\u00a0European Green Deal “farm to fork strategy” was also discussed.<\/p>\n
–\u00a0Trade-related agricultural issues – Ministers discussed the effects of the COVID-19 crisis and Brexit, EU-US trade relations and ongoing negotiations for new free trade agreements with Australia, Chile and New Zealand<\/p>\n
– European citizens’ initiative “End the Cage Age” which aims to ban the caging of farm animals such as chickens, rabbits, geese, ducks, sows and calves.<\/p>\n
– for the Other business (AOB) items, Ministers were briefed by various delegations on issues relating to extreme weather conditions and other issues affecting European agriculture<\/p>\n
